Careers Day for Medical Students and Junior Doctors

24 September 2022

Virtual event

We are pleased to be holding our Careers Day events as a virtually again in September this year.

The two events will run parallel to each other and programmes will include talks from inspiring speakers and key members of the College. You will also have the opportunity to engage with specialist societies throughout the day in interactive breakout sessions.

Medical Students Day

Designed by medical students for medical students, the RCOG has collaborated with the British Undergraduate Society for O&G (BUSOG) to create this event to give you a taste of what O&G has to offer, as well as providing tips on how to make the most of your undergraduate experience.

Engage with specialist societies about their expert areas and discover the flexibility and diversity a career in O&G offers.

Careers Day for Junior Doctors

This is a fantastic opportunity for junior doctors applying for specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology to discover more about the specialty and the recruitment process.

This is a unique opportunity to learn more about working in O&G in the UK and internationally. Connect with clinicians at all levels to discuss how to get into O&G training, receive practical advice on the application process, how to thrive in the training and maximise your career opportunities.

Talk to O&G’s specialist societies, all of whom are experts in their areas, and find out what a wide range of areas O&G covers. Questions directed to individual speakers will be accommodated at the end of each session and prior to the day, abstracts for limited e-posters can be submitted and if accepted, could boost your application for the training and improve your CV.

On-demand accessible learning

Our state-of-the-art virtual events platform allows you to access all lecture based content on-demand, subject to speaker permissions. The recordings will be available shortly after the event and will remain accessible for three months post-event.

This means you can watch from wherever you are in the world and at a time convenient for you. Your on-demand access means no programme clashes, and saves on travel time and extra arrangements.

This is an excellent, bite-sized approach to learning which supports flexible and accessible educational content for doctors globally.
