Each Baby Counts + Learn and Support (EBC L&S) is a joint initiative between the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and the Royal College of Midwives (RCM), funded by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC).
The programme commenced in 2019 with the overarching aim of improving safety culture in maternity care with a focus on clinical escalation.
It is concluding in March 2022, and this conference will present the prominent findings of the programme, including a launch of the report and the toolkit containing interventions to improve clinical escalation. The programme will also touch on the wider elements of maternity safety, including culture, improving recognition of deterioration, and staff wellbeing.
