Improving Quality of Women's Health Care

6 October 2023

Online

Overview

Improving Quality of Women’s Health Care aims to inspire and support healthcare professionals working to improve quality and safety within their obstetrics and gynaecology services. Our vision for the day is to recognise the difficulties health professionals face and support them through the lens of personal challenges, burnout, team behaviour, service leadership and how to establish a systems approach to safety.

This one-day event is an excellent opportunity to hear from renowned leaders and experts in leadership and safety science and the ways in which the healthcare system is responding to unsafe care through restorative approaches to investigations, promoting learning through the new PSIRF tool and using audits to hear the signals amongst the noise.

The format will be plenary speakers alongside boaster sessions. The fast-paced ‘boaster’ presentations will be the best abstracts that are submitted for the overarching theme of Improving the quality of women’s healthcare with a specific interest in topics from the East Kent report including:

  • Monitoring safety performance- hearing the signals from the noise
  • Promoting professional standards of clinical behaviour
  • Improving team working in difficult situations
  • Framing personalised care with standardised pathways
