  • Identify and manage perinatal mental health disorders across the spectrum of pregnancy and the postnatal period, in line with current national guidance and MBRRACE-UK recommendations 
  • Recognise risk factors and warning signs for maternal suicide and severe mental illness and apply multidisciplinary strategies for early intervention and safeguarding
  • Understand the impact of neurodiversity, trauma and social determinants of health on maternal wellbeing, and adapt care to support individual needs compassionately and effectively
  • Understand the impact of safeguarding processes on maternal mental health and how to support families through removal
  • Apply strategies for addressing and creating a positive maternity culture
